Before I start my review: I just want to say one thing in regards to one existing review, and potential other reviews coming up if they decide to give this one star because it's not a Hip Hop album. They don't care. Seriously, they don't care if you decide to "hop off the FE train" because it's not another "Connected." They love what they do, and the direction they's taking.Get over it.Now, on to the review.I follow both Nicolay, and Phonte on Twitter, and was pretty excited when they announced this album. Granted, I was a bit iffy in regards to Authenticity (Love In Flying Colors had a couple clunkers for me, too) , but this album is so good. Zo! doing production on the tracks alongside Nicolay takes this in a direction that I really like. And with Carmen Jones and Tamisha Warden on vocals (Can't forget Carlitta Durand and Shana Tucker on the titular track) gives me "tilt head from side to side" feelings.I already did a review of Asking For A Friend, so I won't cover that. But I can tell you that interspersed between dance tracks, "Truce" and "Face In The Reflection" are able to change the mood without bogging down the album. But if you don't want "the sads" from those songs, just listen to "Work It To the Top" or "Asking For a Friend" for loving parodies of disco, and Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" respectively.Overall, give this album a chance. And for goodness sakes', preview the digital album first before buying the physical album, and giving it down marks.
