This water fountain is plastic, has an LED light indicator for water level. The water noise level is not the lowest, but the water dropping sound creates a serene white noise that calms the whole room. This water fountain comes with a carbon filter, which cleans the water for my cat. My cat really enjoys this water fountain and increased her water intake level. Definitely recommend.
