This is a replacement and upgrade to what we had. Pump is more esthetically pleasing and pumps easily. Install is very easy, soap bottle threads into countertop and pump just gets placed in from top.Think this will hold up better than part one cause base of this one is rubber instead of painted metal. On my last pump the color rubbed off easy within a few months. You can see this piece circled in last two photos,Over I love it, looks fresh and clean, soap on demand. Great price
