A brilliant book that dives deeply into the biology and physiology of the honey bee. This book is very technical - every paragraph is dense with information - but it is highly readable. There is really nothing else like it out there unless you pick up von Frisch's original Dance Language and Orientation of Bees that is now somewhat outdated or you work your way through the peer-reviewed literature of the past 50 years. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
