This tablecloth is just as advertised, and the color was true to the picture. It hung nicely from the table, and I have even considered buying this tablecloth in several other colors because it worked so well for us. It washed nicely, and the stains came out. It is polyester, and it does look like polyester- it does not look like linen, but it looks nice enough for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. The only down side is that the wrinkles made from folding the tablecloth stayed in even after washing and drying, so ironing would be necessary!
