Great product!Parfait pour emballer des cartons pour le déménagement ou la préparation de colis.Déroulage silencieux. L'adhérence du ruban est correcte.Merci d'indiquer si ce commentaire vous a été utile ou non. This is a very well made Packaging tape dispenser. It's heavier than my current dispenser which is a cheaper model but functional. I find low noise depends on the quality of tape you use rather than the gun itself. For the price one glaring omission is the safety guard across the cutting spikes. These spikes on packaging dispensers are a lot bigger and more separated in distance. In the past, on my older ones I've had occasion to catch myself on it. My cheap £3 dispenser came with a cutter guard. At the price of the Scotch pistol a guard must be applied! The other feature I'd like to see on this pistol dispenser is the grooved grip. As I have the advantage of comparing like for like, I really prefer the feel in the hand with the finger grooves.I noticed no difference between the two when using them for packaging.I'm happy to continue using the new dispenser, I just wanted to give an honest opinion between my existing cheaper model and this over £20 model.Ok, so I sell china and I am always packing boxes so I am a bit of a gun and brown tape expert. My previous gun was a cheap one but lasted over a year and the tape which is also cheap sticks brilliantly. This gun is very quiet, no screeching and cuts well, easy to put the tape on. But it is a little heavy. The scotch tape is not very good at all, it isn’t sticky enough so I put a cheaper roll in and guess what It MAKES THR SCREECHING NOISE!! I am so disappointed with this gun and with this company. Would I buy it again, no, would I recommend it no. Such a shame because if you don’t want sticky tape it works a treat ?.No instructions and I can't figure out how the heck this thing works. I didn't know I would need a degree in engineering to use it. Maybe that needs to be explained to us mortals who want a quick way to tape boxes? If the tape supplied is 3M Scotch tape I would be amazed. It split immediately and kept on snapping. I gave up using it immediately in a rage of broken finger nails and despair.Having to waste time looking up how the tape loads and picking away at said tape to find the end when it snapped for the eleventy billionth time was kind of the opposite of what I wanted from this product!Overall this tape is both strong and of good quality as well as being low noise when dispensing it.I have found a couple of tricks you need to do to really make it perform well.Use a tape roll dispenser. First doing so is easier in general - but crucially you need to press the tape hard against the cardboard surface if you’re packing boxes. The roller on a packing tape dispenser does a lot of this for you - but you’ll still need to ensure that the start and finishing ends of a strip of tape are making good contact with the surface.I go over the strips with a duster - pressing firmly so there are no air bubbles or gaps between the tape and the surface.Where possible I would recommend you do a complete circuit of tape - meaning your end piece has gone all the way around the box once and overlaps where you began. The tape on tape adhesion will always be stronger than simply to cardboard. Finally if you have fished out some boxes from your attic or garage or procured some that were in the recycling bin - make sure you give them a quick dust with a cloth - just to get rid of any layers of dust that would lessen the stickiness of the tape.Doing the above makes this tape a winner and it really doesn’t take much more effort than the process of making up and dealing boxes would anyways.Unlike some cheaper tapes - I didn’t find that the scotch tape tore. I was also pleased to see that there’s really quite a lot on each roll and it goes a long way.The low-noise quality of the tape is sensible for many reasons - the sound of some tapes being unravelled can sometimes be deafening - but more importantly it means you’re not announcing to your street and the world at large that you’re packing all your valuables and getting ready to move - which from a security point of view is a massive plus.Hope this helps.
