I did not use this for oil. I have young boys and I like to help them practice independence. Since they were able to open the fridge I’ve had a small container of milk that they could handle themselves. That way if they want milk they can get it themselves… they’re a bit older now but still young and the small container I had was too small. I needed something a bit bigger that they can still manage. This is perfect. No worries about putting the lid on. Yes it’s glass but it’s thick and is teacher them even more responsibility than the smaller plastic one we previously had. They love how they slowly pour, the top pops open and milk comes out.
