My family has used automatic med dispensers for many years now, starting from when my children began taking medications on a daily basis. They are a great invention and if you don’t have one yet, get one! (Especially from this company, as I will detail below).My 17-year-old son’s previous med dispenser stopped turning after many years of use. While waiting for this new one, he would manually open the non-functioning dispenser’s lid to take his day or night meds, causing several medication mixups. When the new one arrived, I decided to lock it so that we wouldn’t have similar mixups. Unfortunately, I forgot to tell HIM that. He forced it open and broke off the little tab that keeps it locked (I also didn’t make sure that the lock was fully turned, so it wasn’t actually stable. Oops! See attached pictures). The way that this lid functions is with a springy suspension (press down to close, press down again to pop it open). When he would flip it to dispense his meds into his hands, the lid would pop open from the pressure. I messaged the seller to ask about purchasing a new lid.I received an almost immediate response and Wavin from EZMedPil assured me that he could help me. He sent me a video to ensure that I felt comfortable changing the lid on my own (it was super easy!) and then sent me a new lid free of charge. We were in constant contact for a couple of days to ensure that everything was correct and that I was happy. He was exceedingly polite and generous and sent me some other completely unexpected items to help me. I cannot recommend this company enough or give Wavin the thanks he deserves! More companies should stand behind their products and be willing to work with customers like this. The broken lid was completely OUR fault, but Wavin went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. Wavin and EZMedPil are the best!This does the job. I have a child that needs meds at the same time every day and everyone in the household has ADHD so remembering the meds can be a challenge. This thing is just loud enough that you can't forget. Also, our meds always have to be locked up for safety, so this keeps them always locked up, but always accessible when we need them, even if I'm out of the house. They fit in modt drawers, so they're accessible but out of the way. Also easy to take with us on road trips.If it was a little more high-tech, that'd be great, because I'd love to have different settings for different days (i. e. my one child only needs ADHD meds on school days, and our weekend morning meds are later than our weekday morning ones) but, all in all, a solid product that relieves a lot of stress.This has helped me and my elderly mom out a lot. She kept forgetting to take your medications or confused on which ones to take. Now I have peace of mind that she can't take out extra pills or gets them confused from night or day. I would recommend this for anybody that is having issues with anybody taking their pills.Had an issue with the device. I reached out to Amazon as well as the seller. Both responded promptly and Device was replaced free of charge. Device is working well, thank you.I have purchased two of the EziMedPil dispensers. The first one I purchased for my mom. I have used many pill dispensers in the past and NONE of them are as reliable and accurate as EziMedPil. I have told a few friends and they also bought one for their parents. EziMedPil is easy to use and works very well! I am confident that my mom takes her medicine every day.I bought a second container for another relative but there was a problem with the second container. I reached out to EziMedPil's customer service and they got in touch with me right away. They also worked with me and helped to resolve the problem. I am very happy with the helpful customer service! I am so happy with their products and I eagerly recommend them!This device has helped my Mom and myself also.I now have piece of mind that my Mom is taking get meds correctly. If you have a friend ot family member with dementia in the beginning stages, this is SUPER helpful!!!It would be nice if it were a bit smaller, but it’s ok as is.Thank youThis device does not secure medications well at all. If a user wants to access more medication than is in the current pill slot, they simply insert their finger into into the current pill slot and rotate the tray forward to the next slot. We purchased this to help limit a family members overuse of Oxycodone. It was only a matter of a day or two until they figured out how to rotate the tray to the next slot. They were quite proud of their accomplishment and I am sorry to have wasted my money.The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the alarm doesn't turn off unless you flip it over to dispense the pill. But you can dig the pill out of the compartment without turning it over and so the alarm continues and it annoying. The user i bought it for has Dementia and lo g nails so she digs it out and comes to me to turn off the alarm (defeats the purpose of not having someone else involved)
