I have a window AC unit that has a drain hose that I drain into a tote bin. I re-use the water to water my garden, and this was the best idea I could come up with to drain the bin. I just place my watering can underneath and press the power button and it fills its up most of the way, then I use the 600ml button to top it up. It's a little slow for this use, but because it lets out a set amount, I can press the button and walk away to do something else. Now you have to find the right set up, for me I have it sit on top of my AC unit, and the hose reaches the bin, and I happen to have a watering can small enough to fit between the faucet and the AC unit, so I can just set it down, press and fill.It works for my needs! It saves my back too, because before I was using a 10L bucket and having to bend 3 times a day to lift it off the ground and then go dump it. Now I use a 70L tote, I don't have to bend ever, and I don't have to empty it every day! Which also means I save water, as I don't have to waste any water - I can save it for when the garden needs it.Side note, the unit itself it's durable! The cat knocked it into the bucket and it still works! (And is now in a car proofed environment lol) Although the tube did get a knick in it, I duct taped that. For what most people are using this for, the tube should be fine. For those of you using it for drinking water, the speed it empties at should be good for filling a bottle or glass.
