I make handcrafted greeting cards, and use a LOT of 6"x6" designer paper that comes in pads like this: Echo Park Paper So Happy Together 6 by 6-Inch Paper Pad. I've collected quite a few -- literally a hundred or so -- and I've been just keeping them together in a large plastic bin with a lid, which makes looking for a particular one a bit tricky. They don't stand up, and it takes awhile to find what I'm looking for.With these bins, I can organize my paper into color "families" (pastels, brights, neutrals, darks), and use tabs to identify each collection within each family (We R Memory Keepers Tab Paper Punch, Index). I've already purchased 5 of these bins, and may end up with 3-4 more before I'm done. The 6"x6" pads fit PERFECTLY -- the sides of the bin taper a bit so the bottom of the interior of the bin is about 6.25-6.5" wide. They don't stack, and there are no lids, but that's precisely what I was going for -- I need to be able to SEE what I've got, and be able to quickly locate particular colors/combinations of papers. The bins fit on my shelving unit two deep, and when I'm sitting, I can see all the tabs and easily find what I need.I got the yellow bins to go with my overall craft room color scheme of soft orange, yellow/gold, and sage green, and they are working just fine color-wise. They're high quality plastic -- nice heavy gauge, sturdy, etc.Very happy with this solution! I'm finally getting my crafts supplies organized!
